Children’s Programme
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair offers again a special area where children can enjoy books by taking part in readings, workshops and recreational activities in Arabic and English: The Children’s Corner.
Children are the readers of tomorrow, and the Children’s Corner at ADIBF aims to encourage reading as a source of pleasure, discovery and learning!
One special focus in this year’s Children’s Corner is the awareness raising for environmental issues through competitions and workshops, organised by the Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Federal Environmental Agency.
The activities of the Emirates Foundation in the Children’s Corner give the opportunity to discover the unique culture and heritage of the UAE.
In the reading area, children can find books for all age groups from Arab and non-Arab children’s book publishers exhibiting at the Fair.
A group of Takatof Volunteers from the Emirates Foundation will be joining the corner for supervision and to support the instructors during the reading sessions and art workshops.
New Feature Seminars
Specialists in the field of children’s books, reading promotion and learning strategies will hold seminars for parents and teachers at no cost.
Activities will take place throughout the week from 10 am to 9 pm (except Friday morning).
