Programmes

Dear Visitors, dear Exhibitors,

After only two decades the ADIBF is now the most professional book fair in the region and one of the world’s fastest-growing publishing events.

In 2011:

- The cultural programme, as diverse and international as the population of    the UAE, will give all booklovers a reason to attend the show.
- The Show Kitchen will again delight foodies with the culinary creations of    international and local chefs. In 2011 the cultural focus is on France,    ensuring a tantalising feast for your taste buds on March 16 with “Un Jour    en France”.
- Children will experience the joy of reading through edutaining activities at    the Creativity Corner (CC).
- If you seek information on digital publishing, the eZone offers the general    public and the professional visitor more ‘techie’ options.
- Speaking of professional: this year we are offering exhibitors a professional    programme that will help them make contacts in the MENA region and    beyond, and that provides insight on industry trends, children’s books,    illustrations, translation rights—and this year’s Market Focus: Korea!
- The Education Chapter (TEC3), for teachers and publishers, is all about    learning, and how to purchase and produce the best educational materials.
- One other unique ADIBF offer is a programme subsidising translation deals    that happen at the fair: Spotlight on Rights!
