Programmes

Dear Visitors, dear Exhibitors,

Launched two decades ago as a small local affair with modest ambitions, the ADIBF is now the most professional book fair in the region and one of the world’s fastest-growing publishing events, with a line-up of programmes that becomes bigger and more diverse with every year.

Whether you are looking for contacts in the MENA region or seeking to expand your network beyond the Arab World, the events in the Professional Programme are designed to make your experience in Abu Dhabi each year as successful and rewarding as possible. Facilitated matchmakings ensure a productive business environment, while other sessions in the Professional Programme cover market overviews, capitalising on digital publishing and current trends and topics of the industry.

For publishing professionals and the curious visitor alike, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair’s Cultural Programme offers a diverse array of events at the Discussion Forum, the Book-Signing Corner, the KITAB Sofa and the Poetry Forum. Here esteemed novelists, poets and journalists from the Arab World and the larger international literary community gather to debate issues of contemporary literature, share their work and meet their fans. To feed not only the mind but also the body, stop by the Show Kitchen for live cooking demonstrations by internationally renowned chefs.

Check back here to learn which two countries will be the ‘market and cultural focus’ at the ADIBF 2011.
