Cultural Programme | Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

Cultural Programme

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is the most professional fair of its kind in the Arab World, but it also offers a full six-day programme of cultural events that include author readings, panel discussions, book signings, poetry, live music and more! All events are open to the public and professionals free of charge.

Check back often for updates on the cultural programmes at ADIBF 2011!

Events and Venues:

Discussion Forum
The heart of the book fair’s Cultural Programme is the ever-bustling Discussion Forum. This is the place to see authors and key industry players from around the world discuss literature and current market trends and engage in lively cross-cultural debates; it will also host the winners of several of the Arab World’s top literary prizes. The Discussion Forum is never quiet!

KITAB Sofa – Please Have a Seat
The events at the KITAB sofa offer the perfect chance to get up close and personal with leading writers. Each year it hosts a line-up of authors hand-picked by the fair’s organisers to give visitors a taste of the rich diversity of global literature today.

Book-Signing Corner
At the ADIBF, the Book-Signing Corner offers our visitors a chance to get their books signed by their favourite authors.

Poetry Forum
Launched in 2010, the Poetry Forum pays homage to the ancient tradition of oral poetry in the Arab Gulf by providing a venue for live poetry performances in several styles and languages.

Show Kitchen ─ Meet the Chefs!
Join us for a tasty bite at the Show Kitchen during the fair! International star chefs prepare culinary delights live on stage and let children discover the fun of cooking in interactive sessions.
