The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair has for the first time ever established a Professional Day reserved for exhibitors and trade visitors only. Next year it will be on 17 March 2009. That day offers you the perfect condition for making business connections and finding new partners.
Professional Programme 2008
A wide range of professional programmes was offered, ranging from briefings on the Arab book market and international promotion programmes for translations over debates on how to establish a working Arab title catalogue to enhance distribution and on how to prevent copyright infringements to a major panel on the topic of children and libraries.

Business Lounge
The Business Lounge at the ADIBF was upgraded and offered further specialised briefings and meetings with international and Arab experts on different areas of publishing, assistance with questions on rights, translation and networking in Arab and international book markets. The relaxed atmosphere in the Business Lounge makes it easy to strike deals with publishers and agents, or simply get acquainted. Many editors, translators, librarians, booksellers, illustrators, journalists and other professionals regularly attend the book fair in Abu Dhabi, and profit from its unique setting for business and professional growth.
